My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If I had to choose three words to describe Waiting for a Scot Like You they would be: Hot, hawt, and FUN. Seriously, I just had SO MUCH FUN reading Duncan and Beatrice’s story. I have to believe that Eva Leigh was just sitting there cackling as she wrote some of these scenes, especially the numerous – and fabulous – nods to 80’s movies within the overarching Ferris Bueller retelling with Lady Beatrice Farris and Major Duncan McCameron.

Beatrice, Lady Farris, is done with rules. At 46, her children are grown, her husband is gone and Beatrice is finally going to live her life the way she decides. And that includes traveling to the country for a week-long party famous for the orgies that take place there. It does not include the escort of a young stickler-for-the-rules, stick-in-the-mud Scot, regardless of how attractive Major Duncan McCameron may be.

Major Duncan McCameron lives for rules. He certainly doesn’t know what to make of Beatrice – a grown woman who doesn’t appear to follow any kind of rule or sense of self-preservation – or the way she makes him feel. But he’s a man of integrity, and honestly too much time on his hand, so he can’t just let her travel unescorted through the country. When their simple trip to the country turns into an adventure of epic proportions, an attraction and connection builds between Duncan and Beatrice, culminating in an affair he never wants to end. But can a woman who eschews all the rules really be the one for him?

Duncan is the biggest softy in the whole world. He’s a caretaker who just wants love, dammit. And Beatrice is full of love to give. Duncan grounds Beatrice, while Beatrice helps Duncan let go everyone once in a while. They also have mind-blowing sex with a bit of dominance and submission that is 100% perfect for both of them. Ugh. My heart.

I loved all of the books in the Union of Rakes series and Waiting for a Scot Like You was certainly no exception! Plus, we do get to see a certain two members of the Union of Rakes get their happily ever after as well in a truly…excellent…fashion.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
