The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I’d heard great things about The Worst Best Man from Romancelandia before I started reading, so I went into it fully expecting to enjoy it. What I wasn’t expecting was that I’d have a shit-eating grin plastered on my face the entire time! Mia Sosa had me laughing out loud and falling in love at the same time. It ended up being the perfect book to read during this time. (If you’re reading this in the future, gentle reader, we’re in the middle of a fucking pandemic.)
Three years ago, wedding planner Lina was poised to marry Andrew, her “perfect match,” when Andrew’s brother, Max, comes in on the day of the wedding like “JK you’re not getting married today-Andrew’s gone. Oh and by the way I was apparently the one who convinced him to call off the wedding even though I don’t remember it. Sorry!” To which Lina said, and I quote, “Get. The fuck. Out.”
Jump ahead to today. Lina has just been offered the opportunity to compete for the job of a lifetime when the brothers she’d hoped to never see again walk in. Now Lina and Max are going to have to work together – and the shenanigans are going to ensue.
Lina and Max’s chemistry is off the charts, and I loved watching them try to one up the other! I’m a big fan of enemies to lovers so I knew the plot would work for me, but even if enemies to lovers isn’t your catnip, The Worst Best Man may deliver! Max and Lina are both totally decent people, who happen have a history, and end up being perfect for each other.
